Oh hey…Putting together a care team postpartum is just as important as choosing your birth team.

I often get calls from mama’s just a week or two after having their baby asking…”Sooo…what’s the plan!?”

I love how proactive these sweet mamas are and truly appreciate that they see the value in postpartum exercise. It means other pros and myself are doing a great job when it comes to making this info more mainstream! ?

So where do we start?— it actually is important to wait until you are cleared by your ObGyn (usually around the 6 to 8 week mark), not only to make sure there are no complications but also because your body just went through a miraculous feat, and needs time to recover. But there’s more to return to exercise than a doctors visit (more on that later)

Don’t stress about jumping back into it before this, use this time to soak up the newborn cuddles, tend to your other children, and adjust to life with another little human.

?This week we are chatting about how to ease back into exercise, the do’s and don’ts of returning to exercise postpartum, and what you can do while you are waiting for the good to go.

As always, thank you for including me in your postpartum journey. I am so honored to be able to help new moms in both a mental and physical capacity. xo
